Eliminate the need for costly lock and key replacements

Access control eliminates the need for keys. Not only does this cut the risk of lost or stolen keys, but also the inconvenience and expense of changing locks, cutting new keys and re-assigning them to staff. For large buildings with multiple doors, the costs for replacing locks can be considerable.

Electronic access control provides the most convenient and cost effective route to securing access to your property, whether it is made up of one building or many. In the most common applications, proximity tokens are issued to staff, each holding specific data that corresponds to that employee. In the event of a lost, damaged or stolen token, it can be barred from the system making them redundant from future use. A new token can then be re-issued there and then for little cost, allowing production to continue as normal.

How access control works

Each door introduced to your new access control system is automatically locked upon being closed - anyone without a card or PIN is unable to enter. This default setting provides a secure day-to-day perimeter, allowing only authorised personnel to enter. Doors may also be set to individually unlock during designated times if necessary.

A Net2 system can also offer unrivalled flexibility. In comparison to traditional master-key systems, access control prevails as it can also be restricted by time. Access cards can be specified to have a pre-determined use-by date, providing temporary access in the absence of personnel.
